Description
Students will love playing this Ghost-themed Cover Up game to practice fact fluency! This game is differentiated for students who need to practice addition & subtraction or multiplication & division. Both an in-class version and virtual version are included!
Included with this Resource:
- For In-Class Students: Teacher and student directions, Game board, Differentiated Number sheets for student work
- For Distance Learning/Virtual Students: Teacher and student directions, Digital Game board with Drag & Drop Game Pieces, Digital Number Sheets with Drag & Drop Tiles
To Play the Game:
-
- Students roll 2 dice (they can each roll 1 die or take turns rolling both dice).
- They use the numbers on the dice to create equations on the numbers sheet.
- This game differentiates itself because some students may only think of addition and subtraction equations, while other students may think of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division equations.
- After students create their equations using the 2 numbers, they should choose the sum, difference, product, OR quotient as their number for the round.
- Students should put a counter on that numbered ghost.
- Play as many rounds as it takes for one student to cover all numbers.
- The object of the game is to be the first to cover all of your numbered ghosts.
