Description
Students need to be taught the mathematical behaviors to become good mathematicians. As teachers, we can make these behaviors explicit so that all students can be successful. Some students already practice these behaviors without even knowing it. By making the behaviors known, these students will become stronger mathematicians as well.
This resource helps you teach students about key mathematical behaviors that will help them become better at math.
There are 6 math behaviors that this resource focuses on. For each behavior, there is a brief synopsis for discussion with students and a task to learn about and practice the behavior. A set of word problems is also included. Check out our FREE Interactive Jamboard that goes with these lessons (in FREEBIES or any grade level).
